Description

I saw this in the rear view mirror as I drove away from the city at night. It looks like the car behind me was just floating in black air like a space ship. I myself looked ahead and realized how much faith I had in the road designers and all the laws and rules of the road. Going at 70 miles an hour heading into absolute black, completely blind to anything beyond the reach of my head lights. This painting captures that sense. I also enjoy how the city glows into the sky and the thin rim of city lights far away, looking like the stars in the sky fallen to the earth.
