This was a commission for the family of their children out walking their dog on a trail they go to often. I enjoy how the girl is looking back grinning over how the dog has taken over the walk. The boy sees something happening and is in the process of stopping his pose for mama and turning toward his sister. The design issue was to keep the trees looking as huge as they are without making the people too small to paint.

I have been a painter, photographer and designer for many years. Worked as art director for a theater company in San Diego, designer for an audio visual company in Minneapolis, tech director for a contractor with Walt Disney World in Orlando, graphic designer for a Landscape Architect in Orlando, as an art teacher in Nairobi, Kenya, and prepress for a printer in Minneapolis. My work is displayed in many private collections and currently I exhibit in Art of the Lakes in Battle Lake, Minnesota, (http://www.artofthelakes.org/) as well as Gallery96 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
