A small girl reaches for a Monarch butterfly flying toward the window of an old building. Her sister looks at her skeptically ready to stop her from hurting it. Her brother doesn't care and looks out at the river. The painting symbolizes someone reaching out to a dreamed for goal, a bright possibility, regardless of other people's negative reactions. It could also reflect the conservation efforts for the Monarch butterfly population.

I have been a painter, photographer and designer for many years. Worked as art director for a theater company in San Diego, designer for an audio visual company in Minneapolis, tech director for a contractor with Walt Disney World in Orlando, graphic designer for a Landscape Architect in Orlando, as an art teacher in Nairobi, Kenya, and prepress for a printer in Minneapolis. My work is displayed in many private collections and currently I exhibit in Art of the Lakes in Battle Lake, Minnesota, (http://www.artofthelakes.org/) as well as Gallery96 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
